Sounds: Armenia. Mix One

From the day I’ve started this blog, I have always shared stories and photographs from my travels with you, dear Reader, but never sounds. The photographs tell us what the places look like, but how about how the places sound? Ever wondered what does Central Park in New York sound like, or a river in Himalayas, or a lake in Armenia? I did, but only after meeting Emée, a traveller from France together with whom we have hitchhiked the Silk Road of Armenia last year in November, I realized that I can share the sounds, too.

So, here’s what you’ll hear in the first sound mix: Bird and frog symphony that was recorded by the Gosh Lake in the early June this year on our way the Peace in the Middle East Rainbow Gathering in Armenia; a Hindu mantra, chanted by an Iranian yogi in the mountains of Tavush Province of Armenia; the third sound is of a piano, recorded in Yerevan at my friend’s place; dogs that met us with loud barking during a winter night walk near the city of Ashtarak, Aragatsotn Province of Armenia; jam session at the Main Circle of the Peace in the Middle East Rainbow Gathering in Armenia; Iranian song performed by a friend in Yerevan; Armenian live music performed in one of the Yerevan’s pubs, Calumet.

P.S. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Wish you all love, light, peace and harmony! May you be happy and may you shine bright!
