Unlike last year, this year’s Areni Wine Festival lasted for three days. It included a homemade wine festival in the village of Rind, and a harvest festival in the city of Yeghegnadzor in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. We were able to attend the second day of the festival in the village of Areni itself. Whether it was because of the fact that the President of Armenia did not attend this year’s festival, or there was lack of organization, but the Areni Wine Fest 2013 wasn’t that impressive and fun as the previous festival. Anyway, the main reason we were there was the wine, and it was good as always!
