Photographs. On The Road: Armenia. Vol. 3

Those who ever tried hitchhiking in Armenia know that it’s a piece of cake. Although people are not quite familiar with the concept of hitchhiking, they nevertheless stop to pick you up. Often they take you to your destination even if it’s not on their way. There are only two problems: a) vehicles are rare in remote areas, but be sure that the first car will stop for you; b) the hospitality of locals, who most likely will not let you go before they offer you food and drinks. So be ready to eat and drink a lot. I mean, A LOT!

Interesting fact: According to 2012 data from “The World Factbook”, the total length of roads in Armenia is 7,705 kilometers.
